Prayer

Removing the Veil

Ask God to uncover the habits and fears that keep the heart from honest communion.

"When one turns to the Lord, the veil is removed." 2 Corinthians 3:16

The veil is rarely dramatic. It is often a habit of distraction, a cherished injury, a practiced excuse, or the fear that God will ask for the one thing we do not want to release. The hidden life becomes clear when we stop managing appearances before Him.

Sit quietly for three minutes before speaking. Notice what rises first: resistance, boredom, affection, grief, gratitude. Bring that exact thing into prayer. God is not asking for a polished soul; He is inviting a truthful one.

Prayer: Lord, remove what dulls my sight. Give me courage to stand before You without disguise.
